The Italy-based SDA Bocconi School of Management will soon set up its campus in Powai, following a tie-up with ultimate knowledge system, an educational services trust. The B-School, which will be called the Mumbai International School of Business, Bocconi will kickstart their post-graduate programme in business management in 2012.

Elaborating on the admission process, Ravi Saxena, representative of Ultimate Knowledge Systems, said, “The class strength will 100 students maximum for one year. While Bocconi is to start their separate entrance test, it will consider the GMAT, GRE and CAT score to enrol students for their 2012 course starting July. The Bocconi entrance test will be paper-based exam that will be conducted every January.” With a mix blend of international and Indian faculties, the Indian students studying at the Bocconi’s Indian campus will be sent to the parent university in Italy for one of their semesters. Applications will open In January next year, with fees for the two-year programme at Rs 16 lakh. The programme will offer dual certification where one certificate will be from MISB and the other from Bocconi. Ten professors from the parent university will be stationed in India to run the school with other permanent faculty members from across India. Stefano Caselli, Project Manager Bocconi India and a professor of Finance at SDA Bocconi, Italy said, “For placement the MISB Bocconi will follow the traditional Bocconi placement policy, under which students will be given exposure to international market.
