28th to 30th April saw 1600 women from four cities – Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad participate in the Times Womens Drive, a unique car rally to support the Pink Cause! The rally has become world’s largest women car rally, now featuring in Guinness Book of World Records & Limca book of Records.

5 cars with 15 women were from Powai to show solidarity towards the women who have suffered cancers that afflict women. The Times Of India group & The Lalit Group of Hotels played the most spectacular host to the rally and has tied up with Tata Memorial Hospital to support the awareness and prevention of cancer in women. Devieka Bhojwani, the lady behind the scenes has been relentless in spearheading the same for the hospital.

The rally ended with a grand show full of fun, frolic, laughter & excitement with women winning a wide variety of awards, under the most innovative categories, received from the heart-throb & suave Ranbir Kapoor.

The TSD i.e. time, speed, distance rally format is the most gruelling task where the 3 participants from each car distribute the roles, each one playing a significant role; one of driving, navigating and calculating while adhering to strict traffic rules.
