Panch Ritu Society has recently installed and commissioned Rain Water Harvesting System successfully in their premises.
Rainwater from the terrace is collected from downtake pipes and filtered through an online filter installed in a common header. The filtered water is conveyed to an underground flushing tank for use in toilets, washing cars, watering plants etc.
Surplus water from the tank is diverted to nearby borewell to soak subsoil further. The system was conceived in-house with detailed design and supply by M/s Kalpin Engg (Thane).
During current rains, the UG Flushing Tank has been filled up and the borewell is also overflowing. Besides utilising this natural resource, the society will also save on electric power by eliminating the use of borewell.
