The program started with a traditional lighting of the lamp by Sri Uday Acharya ji. After this there was a tabla program by students of Sri Chakraborty . They played some beautiful rhythmic pieces with a lot of confidence and enthusiasm .This was followed by a vibrant Bharatanatyam performance by the students in the hiranandani complex. The children performed traditional items like the Kauthuvam,Pushpanjali and Kirthanam and their graceful movements and good nritta was appreciated by all. As it was the eve of Navratri puja, the ladies of the Powai area sang beautiful songs in praise of the great Goddess Devi, led by the Classical carnatic music teacher, Mrs Bala Swaminathan.

Sri Uday Acharya ji congratulated all the participants on their wonderful performance and stressed on the need and importance of arts education for the youngsters.
