Yesterday India against corruption (IAC) Mumbai chapter have organized a candle light vigil at Galleria hirarandani powai in the support of Delhi Protesters who are protesting against rape and crime against women.  There were around 200 peaceful protesters along with the student from IBS college and people who spontaneously gathered on Christmas eve for the noble cause.
The vigil was started with patriotic song “sarfaroshi ki tamanna abb hamare dil me hai” and ended with national anthem.

Member of Mumbai IAC Vinod Sharma, KD Jha, Nutan Bhalla, Sachin Dubey and many more requested people to send suggestions to the committee headed by former Chief Justice of India J S Verma who sought comments from the public in general, particularly eminent jurists, legal professionals, NGOs, women’s groups and civil society members on reviewing the existing laws in a bid to provide quicker justice and stringent punishment in cases of aggravated sexual assault.

The comments can be mailed to or to Mumbai IAC at who will compile the suggestions from Mumbai and send to Justice Verma Panel with a copy to Home Minister.
