The traditional cake mixing ceremony, considered as the preface to Christmas was organized at “The Beatle Hotel, on November 7. The resident chefs, spearheaded by Executive chef Prashant Tikadia along with the other senior team members brought in the spirit of an early Christmas.

An interesting array of black currant, apricots, prunes, Sultanas, dry ginger, orange peel, cashew nuts and figs was poured into trays along with a variety of liquors. This will be stored until Christmas to prepare the traditional Plum cakes. On Christmas Eve, this mixture will be blended with cake batter to make cakes.

According to General Manager Mr. Vikramadetya Tanwar, Christmas is no fun without the traditional Christmas cake. In Modern Times, the cake mixing ceremony is another opportunity for people to come together. The first step is the mixing and is believed to be a forerunner of good things and happiness
