Mumbai, Mar 29, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) — Australian coffee-chain major Aromas today entered the Indian market with the launch of its first coffee outlet in Powai here.
Aromas has tied up with Ideal Hospitality Private Ltd (IHPL), which would own the brand in the country and south-east Asia.
"Aromas is being launched keeping in mind the true coffee connoisseur. The coffee has been created from selection of the original beans and blended to suit all tastes. Aromas ensures freshness and fullness of flavour," IHPL Chairman and Managing Director Jayant Mhaiskar said.
The company over the next three years plans to expand its footprint in India with 99 outlets at an investment of Rs 50-75 crore, Mhaiskar said.
IHPL has signed an MoU with Aromas, under which the latter would be paid 1.5 per cent of the gross revenue earned.
The coffee chain would have two formats – Cafe and Cafe Lounge.
