Actress Bhagyashree is still the baby face we knew from Maine pyar Kiya, but she is seriously traditional and passionate when it comes to a good social cause.Bhagyashree took time to promote eco Ganesha idols along with Elsie Gabriel founder of NGO Young Environmentalists Programme trust team at Meluha the Fern ecotel,Powai. The event saw hundreds of visitors who came in support for this interactive cause. This NGO in Powai has been working for the last ten years to promote bio degradable idols, post visarjan ghat cleanup, distribution of cloth bags and vermi composting nirmalaya leftovers  and recycling to help spread awareness.

It is a known fact that Bhagyashree learnt a lot from her ancestral home ,where her father was the former Maharaja of Sangli, who taught her Sanskrit, how to worship eco Ganesha idols as well as perpetuate artisians who make these bio degradable idols traditionally for hundreds of years in Sangli. It was wonderful to see Bhagyashree talk to an attentive audience along with other stakeholders like the DCP M.Dahikar,Dr.Kishor Kshirsagar Deputy Municipal comm,Jyoti Mhapsekar of Stree Mukti, Sumaira Abdulali of Awaaz and many others who joined hands with Young Environmentalists to take the cause of a better environment forward.
