Fatty Bao and SodaBottleOpenerWala open in Powai

This week two popular brands are opening next to each other in Powai. They have replaced Pizza Hut. The brands are Fatty Bao by Chef Manu Chandra and the one beside is A D Singh’s SBOW (Soda Bottle Opener Wala). Both belong to Olive Group.

These outlets will save considerable time to foodies of Powai who were travelling to BKC or Bandra West and had to wait to get seated.

I reached for a preview on Friday Night to Fatty Bao: the interior design is cheerful and bubbly. The Soft Bao’s with roast chicken contents amounted to the absolute delight and the Fatty Sour a whisky cocktail was invigorating.

A.D. Singh, managing director, Olive Bar and Kitchen Pvt. Ltd, as the company opened nine new restaurants across its different chains, taking its total count to 30 restaurants in seven cities.

The company, which for the first half of its existence only had Olive, its casual dining restaurant, as its mainstay, has in the last four years diversified into the more affordable dining segment with brands such as SodaBottleOpenerWala, Olive Bistro and Monkey Bar.
