Hiranandani Gardens wears a deserted look today, as Mumbai is shut down due to the Bharat Bandh in protest of rising fuel prices. All shops are closed, and there are no auto rickshaws or taxis on the roads. There are very few people either. Just silence and greenery.

Here are some photos.

The street outside Eden Bungalows is particularly peaceful.

The local market on Central Avenue is completely deserted.

No people on the footpath today, just a lone black shoe.

A black crow is the only customer at the vacant vada pav and chai stall.

Looks like no one’s getting pizza today!

Deserted Central Avenue.

No auto rickshaws outside D-Mart today.

A single pedestrian is the only one crossing the roundabout.
