“It promises to keep your brain cells working long after you keep the book down,” says Hindustan Times about Anurag Anand’s latest novel, “The Quest for Nothing”. The book, within five months of its release is en-route to becoming a national bestseller and is available at Crossword and other book stores in and around Powai.
‘The Quest for Nothing’ is a contemporary love story, tracing the trials and tribulations in the relationship of a young working couple in light of the never ending career aspirations and the zest to succeed professionally. The book was launched in Mumbai by eminent personalities like Pritish Nandy, Gul Panag & Mini Mathur. This is Anurag’s fourth book following his first fiction title, “Tic Toc” and two earlier books in the self-help genre (Pillars of Success and Corporate Mantras).
Anurag is a Marketing Professional who works with a leading MNC Bank in Mumbai. He has been living in Raheja Vihar (Powai) for over three years now. “Coming from Delhi, I was looking for a place that had the necessities of a busy city and at the same time provided a peaceful and serene environment. My search finally culminated when I came across my current residence,” says Anurag about the reasons for choosing Powai as his abode.
Anurag is currently working on his next novel, a coming of age love story which he expects to finish over the next couple of months. “I have always wanted to write. It is a phenomenal way of self expression. The sheer beauty of writing lies in the fact that one can express the same sentiments with a zillion combinations of words. It is refreshing when people make the effort to get in touch with you after reading your work and share their views,” adds Anurag when asked about the inspiration behind making time for his passion despite an obviously hectic professional career.
