I have stayed at Renaissance Hotel a couple of times in the last 3 years and i love the location and the hotel. Its a perfect place to relax and enjoy.  The hotel is  located at Powai  (near Chinmayanand Ashra, L&T, Hiranandani). The place is huge and is on the banks of the Powai Lake. The view from the lake facing rooms is fantastic specially at night.

Some of the things which i love doing there

• Take a swim or just sit by the swimming pool
• Go to the Gym
• Go to the SPA (paid) or use the Jacuzzi and Steam rooms (free)
• Walk around the property
• Go to the Velvet Lounge
• Enjoy the buffet breakfast

So it was pretty easy for them to sell me the Renaissance Prestige Club membership last year [Rs 8250/year]. It was a good deal as i got

Rodas Hotel, an Ecotel hotel in Powai, Mumbai celebrated Children’s Day with the introduction of a new concept called ‘Master’s Card, Kidz Card’. ‘Master’s Card empowering the young’ is a first of its kind privilege/discount card, which will be exclusively marketed to the younger generation between the age group of six to 16 years. The personalised card entitles the holder to exclusive privileges at the hotel’s F&B outlets.
The idea came about because the hotel felt the need for a card through which young members of the community will be offered a feeling of importance. Punish Sharma, General Manager, Rodas Ecotel explains, “The basic concept is to empower the young, attracting a clientele that understands quality, service and style as a natural part of their every day life, but is young enough to be accompanied by adults. This privilege will be extended to parents, guardians or friends only if they accompany the cardholder.”  The card will remain valid till September 30, 2009. 
Children will be entitled to a 20 per cent discount on the entire bill at Parabola, Fareast and Pastry land at Rodas; special offers and schemes at Hakone; a specially designed menu for kids; special shows and events at Rodas, like movie screenings, dance class, caricature and competitions, followed by meal and soft drinks on the house; a special 50 per cent discount on your birthday (on entire bill) and a birthday cake complimentary at Parabola/Far East; a 25 per cent discount on the room tariff at Rodas Hotel on weekends and 10 per cent discount on weekdays, subject to availability; 20 per cent discount at Lagoona Resort (Lonavala) on F&B, 10 per cent discount at Lagoona Resorts (on room tariff) on weekends and a 25 per cent discount on weekdays.
Free Master Cards were distributed at prominent schools in and around Hiranandani Gardens, Mumbai. A number of cancer affected children were also involved in the celebrations. S M Shetty School, Gopal Sharma School and Hiranandani Foundation School joined in for the launch. Mukesh Rishi, Actor WAS accompanied by his son.
