Akshardham Powai Swaminarayan Mandir also know as International Spiritual Research Cente at Powai is a beautiful expanse of land that was first sanctified by Yogi Bapa by the performance of a yagna. In 1978, Chandrabhan Sharmaji and family donated it to Kakaji for satsanga developmental activities.

Situated on a hill top, the Sadhanalaya provides a panoramic view of the Powai lake and the surrounding areas. Located inside the complex is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Jagadeeswara. Its ancient name was Poumvi and the shores of the lake turn along the old horse route joining this area with Sahyadri range (western ghats).
