K.3 snacks Fast Food, Snacks & Sweet Corner at Ventura, Hiranandani Powai.

I had my first taste of the newly opened K.3 snacks yesterday which is right next to the plush Aromas at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. I barely managed to pack myself a Ragda Patis (Rs 35 only), before the shop was running out of Stock. They claim to have one more outlet at Navi Mumbai.

First Impressions

I like the well lit up shop and the counters, the workers looked like Rajasthani’s and I liked the fact that they were quite unpretentious and weren’t wearing any gloves, the floors were soiled and the counters were unkempt.(much better than some of the slick restaurant with stinking kitchens) This store can be the new hot spot for office goers looking for quick bite and offers better eating environment that the hawkers at galleria, and of course the lady of the house can avail of the free home delivery service.

As for the food, I am not a connoisseur of “chat” and kinds and will leave it to someone else to review this place. Though it does feel the dire need of people in Hiranandani , Powai for quick & cheap snack place have been taken care!

I was quite happy to see the opening of this new outlet which gives us some option other than heading toward Doodh Sarita. But disappointed!!! Utterly!!! Yesterday, I got some Dhokla from their shop in the evening and concluded that I would make better than them!! Specially once you have tasted the ones from Doodh Sarita which are always fresh and soft, these are dry, smelly, probably stale, and with no taste at all except the taste of besan!! Its overly priced as well…250gms costs you Rs.50. I still have it lying in my fridge!! I haven’t tried their other items and don’t think will ever do so. As they say: “First Impression is Last Impression!”

This place is absolute rubbish. Everything is over priced and the quality is sub-standard. Dhokla tht I purchased at 6pm yesterday, was spoilt and giving out a bad smell in an hours time. I asked the guy to make ragda pattice and he ended up making  something else and topping it up with curds, without even asking me if i wanted it. When I asked him to make it again, he argued saying that this is how it is made out here.

I am never going to this place again for sure. Wada pav and samosas still rock at Janta Bakery. This place wont run for too long.
