There are only a few good places to dine and party in Hiranandani gardens, Powai, thanks to the exorbitant rentals here, and some restaurants in peak real estate of Hiranandani gardens have to shelve out a rent in the range of 7 to 10 lacs monthly. (as all commercial properties are leased by Hiranandani’s) .
So what do you do to increase your profits or lets say to break even? You increase the price in the menu right? But will the price conscious Indian customer continue to patronise your place as they used to, when they see your menu card with new increased prices? FAT CHANCE!!!
So why not create a different menu with inflated prices called “WHITE MENU” to hand it to foreign nationals who are comparatively less price sensitive?
Good, indeed brilliant idea!!! but the only problem is that it maybe very illegal, unless you represent the INDIAN TOURISM MINISTRY and have got a bona-fide licence straight from them saying your restaurant is a national heritage monument or whatever %#*@^@
What we would like to see is more innovative and legal way to increase your profits, so stop this malpractice immediately, as we have received complaints and many expats have noticed this, and even one of your bar tenders has taken timeout to educate these foreighn nationals about the “WHITE MENU” . (good training on your part, I must say!)
