This is w.r.t the Bombay Scottish school, Powaii.I have gone through the experience of applying for admission to this school, as it has the name of being one of the best schools.
The school’s website is not updated regularly, parents have to go to the school in person to enquire, as the phone enquiries are not very helpful and are discouraged. There is no declaration on the site about the shortlisted candidates.
There is also the general rumor that kids of HDFC employees or Drs. and engineers are preferred in the random selection process. If the school were more transparent in sharing details, it would provide a better idea and be helpful to parents.
This type of attitude is not expected from such a reputed institution.

Its true that its very difficult to get admission into this school because they do not take more than 130-140 kids into each class (3 sections). But information provided above is not 100% true.

+ Schools web site is one of the best with all day to-day information is posted along with all the circulars, home works, projects..etc. Since last 2 years we do not have to go to school to pay the fees. Its on-line now.

+ Please do not go by rumors…when giving admission they never ask you if you are a doctor or employee of HDFC bank.

+They do not publish the shortlisted candidates names on website but they send a personal regret letter or acceptance letter through courier. They give preferences to siblings, locality, Catholics

+ We cannot blame the school for not giving admission to every kid. They get around 1000 applications for 130 seats in Jr Kg.

The school has certain rules and regulations which they follow and impart the same to all the students.
